Peter Engelhardt

Prior to co-founding Wieland Capital, Peter Engelhardt was Managing Partner of Alden Consulting, a strategy consultancy firm specialized in Purchasing, Sales and Restructuring, which he co-founded and built. Inter-alia, he structured and negotiated large supplier contracts worth several hundred million Euros for his large and mid-sized clients in retail, automotive and financial services.

Alden Consulting was established as a subsidiary of Trade2B (now Synertrade), a company offering specialized Purchasing Software & Services, which Peter Engelhardt co-founded together with three former colleagues from McKinsey & Company, Inc. He was responsible - initially as Vice President and then as a board member - at first for international development and then for the consulting activities. Beside entrepreneurial and leadership experience, he developed expertise in the areas of Corporate Finance, Information Technology, Purchasing and Change Management.

Peter Engelhardt started his professional career as a Consultant with McKinsey & Company, Inc., with assignments in Munich, Cleveland and San Francisco. He consulted large and medium-sized clients in Health Care, Transportation and Logistics, Automotive and Financial Services.

He holds a business degree as "Diplom-Kaufmann" (MBA-equivalent) from WHU Koblenz (Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management) and also studied at UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management in the USA and at ESC Rouen in France.
